1970 Cuda 426 HEMI Automatic with Super Performance Axle Package!

A fresh arrival in our showroom: A completely restored HEMI Cuda with automatic transmission & Dana 60 rear axle with 4:10 gearing, the original A32 coding option on the sheet, and two Fender tags.

The ultimate Mopar car has a HEMI, this one is a real R code HEMI-equipped Barracuda Cuda. The car is an original Californian-born car. And it stayed there; this car had a complete restoration with original parts and is technically also completely refurbished. This car drives as new, brakes as new, and steers as new; it's a blast to drive. This rare car was found by us with a Californian owner, and we have brought the car over to our showroom. The car is complete with a binder full of invoices and information about the history and restoration, and it comes with a copy of the original build sheet. This car is loaded with options; more on that later.

1970 Barracuda ''Cuda'' Model.
This year they designed a complete new model, it's the third design, and this is the most iconic and beautiful design they made. In 1970 and later, the Barracuda models were based on the Mopar E-Body Platform, a complete new chassis and body. You could order a base Barracuda, a more luxury Barracuda Gran Coupe, or even the sport model Cuda. This particular car is the sport model Cuda. And it is equipped with the highest output and rarest engine combination available, they made only 368 Hardtop models with the HEMI and automatic transmission combination in total. This car received some special options and a high-impact color called Rallye Red, so with all these combinations, it's one of a little build and one of a few left over. The Cuda model received standard the following options: sport suspension like anti-sway bars front and sport shock absorbers; sporty leaf springs and torsion bars; rally instrument cluster for the interior with a 150 MPH speedometer and a standard tachometer; bucket seats were standard with vinyl seat covers. If you ordered a Cuda model, you could be assured that you ordered a well-equipped car. The shaker hood was also a standard option when you ordered this HEMI engine in a Cuda, It is a fresh air package where you could control, through a knob or lever inside the car, the opening valves in the hood. So when it rained or when parked, you closed the valves, and when driving the car, you could open the valves. It's a really great feature and awesome to see the engine ''Shaking'' through the hood opening.

426 Hemi engine with automatic transmission & Dana 60 rear axle 4:10 Super Performance Axle Package.
The 426 HEMI is a 7.2-liter big block with special H.E.M.I heads. This stands for hemispherical combustion chamber, it's a special type of heads and valve combination where the spark plug is mounted in the middle of the valve covers instead of the side. Hereby, you get good combustion in the combustion chamber, and therefore, the HEMI is popular in the history of muscle cars and cars of today. This engine is looking very big because of the bigger heads, and they produce a lot of horsepower. By standard, they were rated at 425 horsepower, but this was actually much more than advertised. They could easily have 475/500 horsepower standard, but because the insurance companies were not that happy with cars with these high-powered engines, they advertised with lower ratings. The automatic transmission received standard a special upgrade to handle the high torque of the HEMI, and was upgraded with a stronger spline shaft.

Normally when you ordered an automatic transmission, your car was standard equipped with an 8 3/4 rear axle, but when you wanted a stronger rear axle and a higher gear ratio for drag racing. Or real fast 0–60 times, you could order special rear axle combinations. This car is ordered with the A32 Super Performance rear axle package and the 4:10 rear ratio. This car is ordered to beat every muscle car on the streets! It's very rare to have an automatic transmission ordered with this special rear axle. The VIN number is stamped on the oil pan rail of the engine, and the VIN number is stamped on the transmission in its bell housing VIN pad. The car is equipped with its original Hemi carburetors; these two carbs alone are a big investment to have, so it's good for the car to have them still there. The engine is overhauled and runes great, and the transmission is rebuilt. This car drives very well and accelerates fast.

These kinds of cars don't come along often. So be quick!
The Car:
This car is really as new; it was completely repainted inside and out; the undercarriage received a black anti-rust protection coating; and all the parts are painted black and gray. And it received all new bushings, ball joints, and steering joints. The fuel system is all new, and the brake system is also new, with new lines and hoses around the car. The brake systems are rebuilt with original parts. The engine is rebuilt with Mopar performance parts, and the dual carburetors are rebuilt too and running fine! The automatic transmission is rebuilt and shifts perfectly; this car is underneath in really healthy, fresh condition. Inside the car is restored with its original parts, and where needed, with correct original equipment manufacturer replacement parts or NOS new old stock parts. The interior is also like new: new seat covers, new carpet, new floor mats, new doormats—all in new condition or restored to the best possible state. The grill is in perfect shape, together with the original fish molding on the side of the car. These are the original ones from the car, and after 50 years, they are still in great shape. This car is overall in excellent and healthy condition and is currently the queen of our showroom floor!

The car comes with a binder full of historical documents, older invoices, and information sheets. The car comes with Belgium papers and import tax paid for Europe.
