New! For sale in our showroom: Dodge Coronet RT 1969 automatic transmission.

The Car
A very nice low-production Dodge Coronet RT with his 440 engine and automatic transmission, this Coronet was meant for one thing, and that is going fast from zero to hundred. A Coronet was always meant for big engines and low options. This car is just like that; if you wanted options, you were better off with a Plymouth GTX or Satellite, but a Coronet was meant for driving fast! So fewer options, less weight, more fun, and more speed! But, of course, this car had a few good options that were needed for power and fun! More later.

This car is one we found around 9 years ago in the state of New York. Where we imported the car from, we sold it to a client in Europe. And he kept the car for 7 years. Later,  we bought the car back, serviced it, upgraded it a little, and it's ready for a new owner!

This car comes with its original build sheet to check its pedigree. A few options this car came with are: F25 Heavy Duty Battery 70 AMP / G15 Tinted Windshield / S77 Power steering / B31 Heavy Duty Brakes standard on RT models/but It's nice to see the original orange-painted drums on the front! Because that is original! The car carries a lot of its original sheet metal and is looking very good. The gaps on the doors and the hood and trunk are still tight, and the Hemi Orange paint is shining very brightly! This car's moldings are still in good condition, the original RT panel in the rear is also in good condition, and the aluminum is still bright.

The Drivetrain
We have a beautiful 440 engine with casting number 2536430-6 and casting date number 1-11-1969 that stands for 11 January 1969. The Mopar 440 engine has an ID pad on top of the engine that tells you the year, cubic inches, and date it was built by a mechanic in the factory. The ID pad tells us E4400 so E is 1969 and 440 is of course, the 440 engine identifier. The date is 2-20, which stands for February 20, 1969. The engine is amazing and in healthy condition. We have tested the engine, serviced it, and fine-tuned it before it came on our showroom floor! The transmission is a 727 automatic transmission that is the correct type for this car; it came with 3 gears, the transmission shifts fine, and it's serviced in our shop also! The rear axle is a Mopar 8 3/4, which is also the correct rear axle for this 69 Coronet.

The Undercarriage
The underside of the car is protected by a clean black coating; the underside is very dry and hard. The car has had a previous upgrade on the underside, as its so clean overall and everything looks nice underneath the car. The brakes are looking fresh, and the exhaust system is still in good condition. The car will be double-checked before it gets sold. And we will make sure the car brakes, runs, and drives nice, so you can enjoy it!

The Interior
The car is built with a black interior and comes with nicely optioned bucket seats! The car has the shifter on the column and has a full-sweeping dashboard gauge cluster. The dash is very clean and working fine. There can be installed a nicely small tachometer to the right of the full sweep speedometer, that would be a small but correct addition for this car, and we can arrange that if you want! The interior is all original and looks still that fresh! The wooden panels are nice and clean, and the bucket seats still sit comfortably and are also clean and fresh! Maybe you should buy some floor mats for the car to make it more complete inside; it was not standard delivered with floor mats. But I think it would fit the car well! The car is big enough to have 4/5 people in it, and it also comes with its original seat belts.
