The Car

We are excited to offer a rare, low-production 1969 Dodge Coronet R/T, equipped with a powerful 440 engine and automatic transmission. This Coronet was built with one purpose: to go fast. True to its muscle car heritage, the Coronet R/T was designed for big engines and minimal options, prioritizing performance over luxury. If you were looking for a well-equipped ride, you might opt for a Plymouth GTX or Satellite. But the Coronet R/T? It's all about speed, agility, and pure driving fun.

This particular vehicle was discovered in New York about nine years ago, after which we imported it and sold it to a client in Europe. After seven years, the car returned to us, where we serviced it, made a few upgrades, and now it's ready for a new owner to enjoy.

The car comes with its original build sheet, confirming its pedigree and authenticity. Key original options include:

• F25 Heavy Duty Battery (70 AMP)
• G15 Tinted Windshield
• S77 Power Steering
• B31 Heavy Duty Brakes (standard on R/T models)
• Original orange-painted front brake drums—a rare and authentic detail

The car retains much of its original sheet metal, and the Hemi Orange paint shines brightly. The gaps on the doors, hood, and trunk are still tight, and the moldings, along with the original R/T rear panel, are in excellent condition.

The Drivetrain

Under the hood lies a beautiful 440 engine with the casting number 2536430-6 and a casting date of January 11, 1969. The Mopar 440 engine’s ID pad confirms its originality: "E4400" indicates it's a 1969 440 engine, built on February 20, 1969. This engine is in excellent, healthy condition, having been thoroughly tested, serviced, and fine-tuned.

The transmission is a 727 automatic, the correct type for this car, with three gears. It shifts smoothly and has also been serviced in our shop. The rear axle is a Mopar 8 3/4, which is the correct rear axle for this ’69 Coronet R/T.

The Undercarriage

The underside of the car is protected by a clean black coating, ensuring it's dry, solid, and well-preserved. The car has undergone a previous upgrade to its undercarriage, making it exceptionally clean. The brakes are fresh, and the exhaust system is in good condition. Before the car is sold, we will perform a thorough inspection to ensure it brakes, runs, and drives perfectly—so you can enjoy it from day one!

The Interior

This Dodge Coronet R/T boasts a black interior with nicely optioned bucket seats and a column shifter. The car features a full-sweep dashboard gauge cluster, which is clean and fully functional. If desired, we can install a small tachometer to the right of the full-sweep speedometer—a period-correct addition that would enhance the driving experience.

The interior is all original and still looks fresh. The wooden panels are clean, and the bucket seats remain comfortable and well-maintained. Although the car did not originally come with floor mats, we recommend adding them to complete the interior's look. The car is spacious enough to comfortably seat 4 to 5 people and comes with its original seat belts.
