Out of our private collection is for sale this 1976 Trans-am 455-4Speed with Y82 Special edition package, this car is really rare and unique you see them often as a tribute, but this one has it all original.

The Car
We found this car in Texas USA in a private collection, it is a real black on black with gold edition striping and decals on the hood we have the documents to prove this all in the file. And you can see them on the pictures. The car was originally ordered with the famous 455 engines combined with the 4-speed manual transmission, that's how you should drive a Trans-am with the 4 on the floor! The car is solid and dry and the paint is looking amazingly, it's fresh and looking good!

The Special Edition Package Y82
The 1977 film Smokey and the Bandit may have immortalized the black-and-gold Pontiac Trans Am, but this special edition model was actually created by GM design boss Bill Mitchell to celebrate Pontiac's 50-year anniversary in 1976. These cars were designated with the Y82 RPO code, and they featured the iconic black paint job with gold accents including gold pin striping, gold grille, gold wheels and, of course, the gold Screaming Chicken decal on the hood. The Y82 Trans-Ams were built in low volume from 1976 through 1978, but this "Bandit" paint job carried on (under various other RPO codes) through the second-gen Firebird's final year in 1981. Black and gold Trans-Ams are everywhere these days. But if you want a true Limited Edition/Special Edition car, be sure to check the build sheet and/or the trim tag under the hood for the Y81, Y82 or Y84 codes. Only 2,590 examples of the 1976 Pontiac Trans Am Y82 50th Anniversary Limited Edition were ever built, and these cars were available with either the 400 cubic-inch engine or 455 H.O. engine, the last year for this engine.

The Drivetrain
The Engine is a 455 YC coded and the 4 speed is a Munchie Transmission, both will be serviced and checked by our garage department before it will be ready for the showroom, and completely serviced. The car and engine is equipped with Power steering & Power brakes and the Shaker hood option.

The undercarriage and engine bay
This car is currently waiting for a gap in our tight schedule to be cosmetically and technically restored, the car will receive a mild restoration we will take out the engine and transmission. And we will service the engine and transmission, and then we will repaint them and install new parts where is needed. The complete engine bay will be painted in a black epoxy coating so when the engine gets back in the bay it looks all like new. The undercarriage of the car will be upgraded with a fresh new coating so it's clean underneath and protected again for a long time, the car will be professional cleaned and polished and restored to a showroom ready car!
